For Sale
8th Annual Shenandoah Valley Boer Breeders' Sale
March 24, 2012
Rockingham County Fairground

I will be offering 5 of my yearling fullbloods, a yearling buck, and the 2011
Rockingham County Fair Reserve Champion Market Goat.

I will also offer three show wether prospects in the wether sale (see info below
the SN/DR goats).

Also, the SN/DR goats are under our care, so I'll talk about them a bit, too.
They are all fullblood does--10 adults and 5 kids.

None of these goats (the SN/DR
OR SNB) will carry any sort of reserve--all
will sell to the highest bidder.  At this point, it looks like very few goats will
have reserves, but I cannot speak for anyone else.

I know some of my pictures aren't the greatest, but I had to get 22 pictures, so
they can't all be perfect.  If there's a specific couple of goats that you would
like more pictures of, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

First Up:  My goats

Lot 17:  Dolce is a Kirk daughter who goes back to Mandy on the bottom.  She
does have a folded ear, but that won't slow her down as a brood doe.  Her
twin sister is Attacca, the young doe on my home page.  She's the first Kirk
daughter to sell, and Kirk's dead so there won't be many more opportunities.
Teats are 2x2.

Lot 18:  Aphrodite is the youngest of my does.  She is structurally correct, but
she doesn't stand out like some of the others, but then again, she is younger.
Teats are 2x2.

Lot 42:  Ullr is a full genetic brother to Snow God.  He has been shown, and
placed 5th at the KPGA show in Pennsylvania.  He looks like he is going to be
a massive buck.  Glenn keeps asking why I'm selling him, and the best answer
is "Have you seen the other two bucks in that pen?"  I think he may very well
turn out to be a better buck than Machete (left).  Machete is 7.5 months older
than Ullr (right), who is 10.5 months old in this picture.  They're both a bit
stirred up because they're standing nose to nose, but Ullr is definitely thicker
than Machete.  Teats are 2x2.  Ullr now has kids on the ground--2 bucks out of
Allegretto and a buck and a doe out of Mandy.  They're looking good, and I'll
try to get pictures up eventually.

Lot 47:  Pristine is the other young doe in the set.  She is a bit shorter than
some of the others,  but she carries tons of muscle.  She sells with 2 ABGA
points from winning the 0-3 month class at the Firecracker Classic in WV, and
her aunt and uncle, SNB1 Sparkle and Sarah's Naughty Boers Klean Sweep
have 25 and 12 points respectively.  Teats are 2x2.

Lot 48:  Cosine was the Reserve Champion market goat at the 2011
Rockingham County Fair out of 90 head, shown by Jared Gilkerson.  She's
grown well since I bought her, and I don't have room for a percentage, so
she's in the sale.  Teats are1x1.

Lot 77:  Quasi and Lot 78:  Forza are triplets (the 3rd was a buck) out of
Miracle.  They're huge, and enjoy fighting with my brood does through the
fence.  They should both turn out to be hardy brood does that could be the
basis of a herd.  Mom really wanted me to keep Quasi, and only relented when
Miracle had two does out of Kirk on New Year's Eve.  Quasi also went to the
Rockingham County Fair and placed 2nd in her class and was a part of the 2nd
place get of sire entry.  They go back to Mandy.
Forza's teats are 2x2, and Quasi's are 1x1.

I should probably mention that Dolce, Quasi, and Forza all are descendants of
Mandy.  This is my hardiest and most productive line.  Currently, I've had 26
doe kids born into my herd that can be maternally traced back to Mandy.  The
does in my herd belonging to this line are Mandy (18 kids), Miracle (16
kids--and 5 consecutive sets of triplets), Allegretto (11 kids), Trionfante (4
kids), Attacca (2011 kid), and Giocosa (2011 kid).  These does are what
boers should be--meaty, hardy, and productive.
SN/DR Goats

Glenn and I bought these goats from Scott and Mendy Miller in Harrisonburg who were getting out of
goats.  They were delivered December 3, 2011, and had been getting no grain before we got them.
Their spring buck kids had not been weaned early enough, and so several of the adults were bred back
and will be sold with unregisterable kids, at least in the ABGA.  The kids are due by mid February, and
when they kid I'll post what they had.  We put Machete in with the does to breed anything that was not
already bred on 12/17/11, so the does without kids will sell bred to Machete, and will have service
memos.  Machete was removed 1/22/12.  We're now sure about the breeding status of all the does
except BBRF W620.  Most of them were wormed after pictures were taken, so they are starting to
look much better.  The young does had never had any grain, so they are small, but are starting to catch
up.  I got teat structures on all of the yearlings and some of the adults.  I'll try to get pictures of the kids
and post them.

All are fullbloods.

Lot 1:  BBRF W620, USBGA registered adult, brown spot on side, possibly exposed to Machete

Lot 2:  VA 16, USBGA registered adult, mother of lot 44, kidded 1/29/12 with a traditional doe and buck
(unregisterable).  Her teats are 2x2.

Lot 12: Dolly, ABGA registered yearling paint, teats are 1x1.

Lot 13:  Miller Triva, USBGA registered yearling with a tri-colored calico head.  Teats could be a
problem (fishtail x split teat)

Lot 22:  VA 15, USBGA registered adult, exposed to Machete

Lot 23:  MVR1 Barbie, ABGA registered adult, mother of lot 12, exposed to Machete

Lot 36:  Miller Trina, USBGA registered yearling, black and red paint (calico), teats are 2x2.

Lot 37:  Miller Angel, USBGA registered yearling, teats are 2x2.

Lot 44: Miller Dipstick, USBGA registered yearling, mostly red paint, teats are 1x1.

Lot 57:  RDBG Babe, ABGA registered adult, mother of lot 37, sells open, teats are 2x2.

Lot 58:  PBF1 - Pines Greta, USBGA registered adult, mother of lot 81, kidded 1/29/12 with 2 red paint
unregisterable bucks, both of her parents are ABGA registered, so she could probably be ABGA
registered, but it would be a hassle.

Lot 71:  WWJV 1509, USBGA registered adult dark red doe, exposed to Machete

Lot 72:  WWJV 1508, USBGA registered adult red paint, mother of lots 13 & 36, exposed to Machete

Lot 80:  WWJV 1520, USBGA registered adult black-headed doe, exposed to Machete

Lot 81:  Miller Little Dottie--adult USBGA registered doe, k
idded 2/1/12 with 1 unregisterable doe kid.
Wethers

The wether sale was looking a few head short, so I agreed to put 3 in.
All will be out of Sarah's Naughty Boers Kirk's Ullr.
They will be tag numbers B01, B02, and B12.

B01 and B02 are out of SNB1 Allegretto and were born 1/3/2012.
Allegretto has mastitis, so B02 is a full bottle kid and B01 gets
supplemented, so both are friendly.  Allegretto's buck kid out of Snow
God was my top wether pick from last year, and her doe kid from last
year is in my keeper herd, so both of these kids should turn out well.

B12 is a bottle kid out of GTFM Mandy who was born 1/9/12.  He is
extremely tall and friendly, and may be longer than the other two,
although he is not quite as thick.

All 3 will be weaned well before the sale.  They have already started
eating hay and grain and should be ready to go by sale day.
